I A-M Coaching

I A-M Coaching

I A-M in your corner

Sometimes that looks like gentle encouragement, other times it’s holding you accountable for what you said you would do. Working with me as a Coach will help you:

  • Gain clarity about what you want to achieve
  • Be resourceful and work out what you need to do to make it happen
  • Build the ability and confidence to achieve your goals
  • Feel motivated and not in it on your own

As a Coach I’m on your side, I want you to be successful, whatever that looks like to you. Coaching should feel challenging, but safe. Enjoyable, but testing. It could mean lots of thinking, or lots of talking. A coaching conversation uses the questioning, listening and observational skills of the coach, but the content is all yours.

You will need to be a bit vulnerable, and honest, but your confidentiality is extremely important so have no worries there.

Whatever problem you are having, you have the skills and resources to work through it. Working with a Coach gives you the time to work through your thoughts, the questions to free up your thinking, and exercises which help you unpick what is going on and work out your best way forward. It aims to build clarity, define goals and give you action plans you can work through.

Most of my coaching is done around work challenges, you might identify with some of this…..

The theory is, whatever problem you are having, you have the skills and resources to work through it. Coaching gives you the time to work through your thoughts, the questions to free up your thinking, and exercises which help you unpick what is going on and work out your best way forward. It aims to build clarity, define goals and give you action plans you can work through.

Having children is a massive change. It can impact you, your identity and confidence, your relationships, your career. You can lose your sense of self, or it can redefine what you want from life. It’s both exciting and frightening at the same time! It can feel isolating, and it can open new doors. Whatever you are feeling, coaching can help you work out the best way forward.

Growing Your Business

Being your own boss can be great! Flexibility, the benefits are all yours, doing something you truly love each day. But then there are the downsides, working on your own, no-one to bounce ideas off, hold you accountable, listen to you, shouldering all the decisions.

Career coaching

This job just isn’t doing it for me any more. You might have spent most of your working life focused on a certain career path, a particular job or industry you were aiming for, or a salary you wanted. And then you are there or getting close, and you think you might have changed your mind….that’s ok!

New to Managing People

This is one of the biggest career gear shifts. When you change from being responsible for just you, to being responsible for other people. Often it comes to people who have excellent technical capability, but not necessarily the skills or experience in people management, yet. We can work on that!

What can you expect from me?

I’m not a fan of the ‘be your best self’ stuff. I like practical. To work on the things that are getting in the way. I would describe my coaching style as honest, straightforward and action focused.

The first step would be a confidential chat while you ask any questions you may have to work out if you think we can work together. You need to feel comfortable with your coach; you might have some sticky stuff to work through.

Normally then we would have between 2 and 6 sessions of coaching, each about an hour and a half long. The exact content would depend on what you need to achieve. We would set out a contract to agree what each of us is responsible for, and what you can expect. It protects us both.

What does Coaching cost?

When I’m researching something, I want to know what it’s going to cost me, so here are some ideas. The packages are all flexible (you don’t have to buy a package), and I’m very happy to chat about how you would like your coaching to work, if you want more or less sessions, to work remotely over Zoom or Skype for example, or if you have no idea! We can work it out together.

Initial 'chemistry chat' - no charge

Package of 3 x 90 minute coaching sessions - £270

Package of 6 x 90 minute coaching sessions - £500
